About me
Luke Newman is a criminal defense lawyer who practices in Tallahassee, Florida. In 2010 he obtained Florida Bar board certification as a specialist in criminal appeals. In 2012 he was appointed to the Florida Bar’s Criminal Law Board Certification Committee, where he served two full terms, including a term as the Chair. From 2023-2024 Luke served as President of the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (FACDL). Luke is a current member of the American Inns of Court and serves on the Florida Bar’s Appellate Court Rules Committee (ACRC). Additionally, Luke has served on the Florida Bar’s Second Judicial Grievance Committee “A.”
Luke Newman has been admitted to the Florida Bar since 2004. He has been in private practice as a solo practitioner since 2009. He is a proud graduate of FSU College of Law, Class of 2004. Luke lives in Tallahassee with his wife and two children.
